we went to look around a lovely new house near us today. according to the website, i could get a keyworker scheme, where the government pays for 30% of the house price. when we got there, they told us that 2 people can only get a 2 bed house and the one we had fallen in love with was 3 bed. so unfair.
on a different note, i love the new starbucks summer frapp, dark berry mocha. so nice in fact i had 2 in one day.
some dolly photos from today. first is bella sporting her new cupcake pullcharm. im still thinking of cutting her hair..in fact i dreamt about it last night..but im not sure how to do it...suggestions??
and here is frankie modelling the new dollymolly outfit. what a cutie!
also today we went on a 6 mile round trip bike ride, but on the return leg, one of my pedals fell off and i had to walk it home! frustrating much?
so today has been an odd one. i got my yummy paper set today (see post below) and am desperate to dig in, as well as catch up on 2 52Q prompts, the latest say it in scrap challenge and a future category stories challenge. but i cant. i am trying to finish an essay which i need to post monday. ive managed 1400 words today, only need 300 more so im nearly done. i do it in fits and starts......200 words...internet time...200 words...eat an easter egg..more words...lunch with my mum etc. and now i have the cat pestering me to be fed.
on a pinker note, how about this for a wedding dress?? (cant find the link, i googled wedding dress)
yesterday i went to see Knowing at the cinema. has anyone else seen it? now i was expecting a bit of cheese being a nicholas cage film, but i should have been suspicious when he says his dad is a pastor (think Signs). i was not expecting a religious message about the end of the world with a host of angels, disguised as an alien abduction plot. but actually still enjoyable.
still trying to find decent priced fabric but apparently it doesnt exist. no quilting for me.
yesterday and today me and marcus did the best thing you can do on a weekend...buy a paper and take it to a pub, whereby you sit with as many drinks as it takes to go through each supplement in that paper. bliss.
my wicker basket is now fixed onto the front of my bike.
i went to see Monsters v Aliens. i have to say, the giant robot scene was very War of the Worlds, right down to the noises. if i was 5, id have been scared!!
i crocheted myself some fingerless gloves, taking the pattern from my 'i love crochet' book.
had another go at an essay im writing for work. only 2000 words to go. ick.
so april first has come and gone without a hitch, meaning its time for the next category over at category stories. this month our prize sponsor is paper pixie. so what's the challenge you ask. well, for our first april category we're after bedtime rituals. take a look at our blog to see what the other guys have done. also, dont forget to add to our flickr group; as from may, you will need to do this to be eligible for a prize.
